Trent Sharp, Ph.D., is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in data, applied research, and strategy. Currently serving as a Principal Consultant at the American Institutes for Research since May 2014, Sharp previously held the positions of Senior Consultant within the same organization. Prior to that, Sharp was the Lead for Regional Systemic Improvement at the Texas Education Agency and the Founding Principal at the Denver Center for International Studies at Montbello. Sharp's career also includes a tenure as Director of the Office of Redesign at the Austin Independent School District and educator at Northeast High School. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Planning, alongside two master's degrees in Education Administration and Curriculum & Instruction, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, all from The University of Texas at Austin.
