Zachary Weingarten

Senior Researcher at American Institutes for Research

Zachary Weingarten has a strong background in education and research. Zachary started their career in 2012 as a Special Education Teacher at Arlington Public Schools, where they worked until 2015. In 2015, they joined the U.S. Department of Education as an Intern for a brief period. Later that year, they began working at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) as a GWU / AIR Scholar. Zachary then progressed to the role of Researcher in 2016 and eventually became a Senior Researcher in April 2021. Zachary has a diverse range of experiences in both the education and research sectors.

Zachary Weingarten has a diverse and extensive education history. Zachary pursued their Bachelor's degree in Music from Hampshire College, where they studied from 2000 to 2002. Following this, they attended The George Washington University, starting in 2011 and completing their Master's degree in Special Education for students with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities in 2012. Zachary continued their educational journey at The George Washington University, where they obtained their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Special Education from 2013 to 2017.
