Maye Kathryn “Sissy” Stevinson is recently retired from HCA Healthcare (NYSE:HCA), after serving 33 years as a Human Resources Executive and Officer of the Company. Ms. Stevinson’s leadership was instrumental in the advancement of Human Resources strategies that propelled workforce development and support of 28 lines of business spanning 43 markets across the United States. In partnership with State and Federal agencies to build clinical pipeline development for critical staffing needs, Sissy worked to secure funding for hospitals across Georgia, Florida and South Carolina and served on the Manpower taskforce for the Georgia Hospital Association. With a focus on patient safety, Sissy served as the Executive Sponsor of a 40,000 member Dependent Healthcare Professional Credentialing Program to ensure that contracted clinicians and service workers functioning in hospitals across the country were qualified. She served for over a decade on the Chief Nursing Executive Council, an esteemed council that explored and implemented evidence based clinical practices and technologies to elevate quality outcomes across 1800+ points of care. Serving as an HR executive for a Fortune 100 Company for over 30 years, Sissy is an accomplished leader that thrives on building leadership development and employee engagement at all levels.
Previously, Ms. Stevinson served on the Board of the Georgia Perimeter College, part of Georgia State University in metropolitan Atlanta with over 22,000 students, where she facilitated partnerships with local healthcare providers to support Nursing program development. Having a passion for music, she also served on the finance and compensation committees on the Board of the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee, home of the original Grand Ole Opry.
Ms. Stevinson is an Alabama native and graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Hospital and Healthcare Services Administration. She holds 2 senior professional certifications, SHRM-SCP and SPHR.
