Ms. Barrett is Executive Director of Quality and Population Health Strategy for Bayer US Pharmaceuticals division. She works to advance the Bayer vision of “Health for All, Hunger for None” by supporting needed changes in the health care quality landscape. Her responsibilities include building and executing strategies that align Bayer’s pipeline assets with customers’ goals to improve the quality of care and health outcomes for populations.
Ms. Barrett has over 25 years of diverse experience in quality improvement, population health management, value-based care and payment models across the health care industry. As Vice President of Product Design and Support for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) from 2008-2019, she was responsible for developing and growing a broad portfolio of innovative programs to evaluate and drive improvement in quality and value in health care. Before NCQA, Ms. Barrett led a consulting team supporting General Motors health benefits purchasing and supplier development. Previously, she served as the Director of Quality for Health Alliance Plan — a regional health plan subsidiary of the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. She led that organization to benchmark-level performance on clinical and service indicators as well as Excellent Accreditation status from NCQA.
A Buffalo New York native, Ms. Barrett earned her undergraduate degree and Master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan.
