Chemical Engineer - R&d at American International Industries

Alexander Flores has a diverse range of work experience in the field of chemical engineering. From 2015 to present, they have been working at American International Industries as a Chemical Engineer in R&D, where they develop new product formulations for cosmetics and personal care items. Alexander also troubleshoots and scales up formulas from gram to tonnage. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2015, they were a Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they focused on polymer processing, process design, and material analysis. In 2013, they worked as a Chemical Engineer at Escape Dynamics, Inc., overseeing the development of environmental health and safety protocols and synthesizing advanced materials. Alexander also has research experience from their time at MIT and Novartis-MIT Center for Continuous Manufacturing, where they focused on silica gel materials and sample analysis. Additionally, they gained experience as a Student Volunteer at the American Red Cross of Santa Monica, receiving CPR and first aid certification and assisting with various community events.

Alexander Flores attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. During their time at MIT, they also obtained a Chemical Engineering S.B degree. Prior to that, they attended Santa Monica High School from 2005 to 2009. In 2006, they briefly enrolled at Santa Monica College. In addition to their academic qualifications, Alexander obtained a Lean Design For Six Sigma - Green Belt certification from the Aveta Business Institute in April 2015.
