Sean Borland has a diverse work experience in aviation spanning over three decades. Sean began their career in the United States Marine Corps as a Marine from 1989 to 1991. Sean then joined the US Army as an AH-1F Cobra Attack Helicopter Pilot in Command from 1993 to 1994. Subsequently, Borland served as an AH-64A Apache Pilot in Command/Unit Trainer in the US Army from 1994 to 1997 and as an AH-64A Apache Instructor Pilot from 1997 to 1999.
After leaving the US Army, Borland transitioned to the USAF as an Officer Trainee in 1999 and went on to serve a variety of roles, including MH-53J STUDENT PILOT, MH-53J/M Instructor Pilot/Flight Lead, MH-53M Weapons Instructor Pilot, CV-22 Instructor/Evaluator Pilot, CV-22 Osprey Instructor/Evaluator Pilot/Flight Lead/Assistant Operations Officer. Sean'stime in the USAF lasted from 1999 to 2012.
Following their service in the USAF, Borland worked as an S-92 Pilot for PHI Inc in 2012, an EC-145 Instructor/Check Pilot for Memorial Hermann Life Flight from 2013 to 2018, and currently serves as the Director of Operations for American Jet International starting from 2018.
Sean Borland's education history includes several notable institutions and fields of study. In 1988, they attended North Carolina State University, where they focused on Law and Political Philosophy. From 1994 to 1996, Borland pursued a degree in Professional Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. In 2006, they began their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Leadership at Touro University Worldwide, which they completed in 2007. In 2019, Borland further expanded their knowledge by attending the Harvard Business School Executive Education program, where they explored Transforming Customer Experiences.
