Chris Stewart

Manager, Grassroots Communications at AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

Chris Stewart currently serves as the Manager of Grassroots Communications at the American Library Association, a position held since August 2022. Previous roles include Program Manager at the International Interior Design Association from January 2018 to June 2019, and Chief of Staff for the City of San Antonio from March 2016 to June 2017. Chris also gained experience as an intern in the Office of the Speaker at the Texas House of Representatives in 2015, and as Deputy Campaign Manager for the Mayor Ron Nirenberg Campaign in early 2015. Additional positions include Director of the Community Academy for City Council District 8 and Field Representative/Field Director for the Mayor Ron Nirenberg Campaign in 2013. Chris holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School (2019-2021) and a Bachelor of Public Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio (2012-2015).
