Samantha Oakley serves as the Deputy Director and Project Director at the American Library Association since February 2015, overseeing a project portfolio exceeding $23 million in grants and leading the Libraries Transforming Communities initiative with over 1,200 library grantees. Previously, Samantha held various roles including Program Manager, where key responsibilities involved research, partnership development, program proposal creation, and evaluation implementation. Prior experience includes positions at Randstad, focusing on technical writing and project coordination. Samantha holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master of Arts from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor of Arts from Western Illinois University.
