David Oliver is a skilled designer with extensive experience in the naval architecture and marine engineering field. Currently, David serves as a Designer for American Magic, contributing to performance prediction and data analysis for the 37th America's Cup. Previously, David worked at Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design as a Naval Architect and Composite Structural Engineer, where involvement included all aspects of custom yacht design, from concept to promotional material. David also gained valuable experience as a Maritime Regulations Intern at the American Bureau of Shipping and as a Naval Architecture & Engineering Intern at Tripp Design Naval Architecture. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan.
