Mario Caponnetto

Mario Caponnetto is a seasoned designer and co-founder with extensive experience in the marine industry. Currently serving as a designer for American Magic in the 37th America's Cup since January 2022, Mario has previously held significant roles as a senior designer at Luna Rossa Challenge and as a concept designer at Land Rover BAR. With a career that began in research at the University of Genoa, Mario has accumulated expertise across various prestigious organizations, including Oracle Racing and ROLLA SP PROPELLERS SA. Mario holds a degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova, spanning a professional journey that reflects a strong commitment to innovation in naval design.
