Marilyn J. Heine

Trustee at American Medical Association

Elected to the American Medical Association Board of Trustees in June 2022, Marilyn J. Heine, MD, is emergency medicine and hematology-oncology physician in southeast Pennsylvania and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.

A tenacious advocate for physicians and patients and a passionate leader within the AMA, Dr. Heine has served as chair of the AMA Council on Legislation from 2020 to 2021, as a board member of the AMA Political Action Committee, as a member of the AMA Private Practice Physicians Congress Governing Council before it became a section, as a member of the inaugural steering committee for the AMA Ambassador program, and as a delegate in the AMA House of Delegates.

Dr. Heine represents the AMA on the board of the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange and is a member of the Forum for Medical Affairs Executive Committee.
