Timothy McAvoy

Timothy McAvoy serves as Vice Chair of the Private Practice Physicians Congress since November 2010, representing physicians in small practices at the American Medical Association (AMA). Timothy has held various leadership roles including Member of the Board of Directors at Waukesha Elmbrook Health and involvement in the Ethics Committee and Active Staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Since 1997, Timothy has been a Delegate to the AMA representing the Wisconsin Medical Society and serves on the District One Executive Council representing the Waukesha County Medical Society. Timothy leads a solo practice initiated in 1983 and has been the President of Timothy McAvoy MD, SC since the same year. Additional experience includes serving as Regional Medical Director for Five Star Quality Care and Medical Director at Brookfield Rehabilitation and Specialty Care. Timothy's extensive education credentials include an MD from New York Medical College, alongside various training in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital and a BS in Philosophy/Biology from Boston College.
