Li Zhou is the current Director at the American Medical Informatics Association. Prior to this, they were an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School from 2007 to 2013. Li has also worked as a Research Associate at Columbia University, School of Public Health from 2000 to 2002 and as a Senior Medical Informatician - Clinical Informatics Research & Development at Partners HealthCare from 2007 to 2017. Her career started as a Faculty Member at Shanghai Medical University from 1996 to 2000.

Li Zhou is a medical doctor who received their M.D. from Shanghai Medical University (currently Fudan University). Li also holds an M.S. in Business Computer Information Systems from Baruch College, and a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University in the City of New York.
