Raneem Ammar is an accomplished undergraduate student researcher at Drexel University College of Medicine, involved in creating a literature review on health inequities under Dr. Raghupathi. Raneem serves as the President of both the American Medical Student Association and Nu Rho Psi, managing communication and organizing events to enhance member engagement. Previous experience includes a clinical internship at Ascension, where Raneem gained extensive clinical experience and patient advocacy skills, alongside research roles at the University of Tennessee and Meharry Medical College focused on cancer research and neuroscience. Raneem holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

American Medical Student Association (AMSA) is a student-governed national organization. The main purpose of the organization was to provide medical students a chance to participate in organized medicine. The American Medical Student Association is the only medical student organization. The American Medical Student Association deals with medical student activism. AMSA is astudent-governed national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. AMSA members are medical students, premedical students, interns, residents, and practising physicians. AMSA continues its commitment to improving medical training and the nation's health. As believers in progress, not just in medical science but in growing our understanding of how environmental and social determinants, for instance, impact health, AMSA has continued to evolve and respond to the times.
