Lauren Tecosky is an experienced educator and professional development facilitator with a strong background in science education and community engagement. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of School Partnerships for Urban Advantage at the American Museum of Natural History since June 2022, Lauren previously held the role of Teacher Education at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden from August 2016 to June 2022, focusing on professional development workshops for educators. Additional experience includes teaching science at both Community Roots Charter School and Gloucester Public Schools as a long-term substitute. Lauren's earlier career involved freelance ghostwriting for registered dietitians and managing a seasonal farm-to-table restaurant, along with contributing articles on food and travel. Lauren holds a Master of Teaching degree in Middle School Science from Salem State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from San Francisco State University, and an Associate of Arts from Merritt College.
