Cody Murphy

Cody Murphy has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber security and engineering. Cody'smost recent role is as a Cyber Security Operations Manager at American National Bank of Texas, where they started in February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Security Engineer at the same company from March 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining American National Bank of Texas, Cody worked at NTT DATA Services as a Compliance & Security Sr. Specialist from September 2018 to March 2021. Cody also had a role as a Penetration Tester at IBM from February 2018 to September 2018.

In addition, Cody has experience as a Cyber Engineer II at Raytheon IIS from April 2016 to February 2018, and as a Network Technician at Roga Satellite Inc. from March 2013 to April 2016.

Before their work in the private sector, Cody served in the U.S. Army, where they held the position of Shop Foreman/Recovery NCO from August 2004 to April 2010.

Early in their career, Cody worked at General Dynamics Land Systems as a Field Service Technician/Quality Assurance from August 2011 to January 2013, and as a Field Service Technician/Team Lead from June 2010 to August 2011.

Cody Murphy attended Colorado Technical University from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Cyber Security. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications in the field. In 2017, they obtained the following certifications from GIAC Certifications: GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Advisory Board, and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC). Cody also obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in April 2017. In 2018, they obtained the GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) certification.
