Buo (Bo) Chen, Ph.D.

Bo Chen, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in various industries. From 1999 to 2007, they worked at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company as a Senior Product Development Engineer. Following that, from 2007 to 2012, they joined Dow Chemical as a Senior Development Specialist, where they focused on product development for innovative commercial offerings. In 2012, they joined American Omni Trading as the VP of Sourcing and Technical Services. Simultaneously, from 2006 to 2012, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Nansan Memorial Medical Institute.

Bo Chen, Ph.D. began their education journey at Sichuan University from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics. Buo (Bo) then pursued a Master of Science degree in Solid Mechanics at Zhejiang University from 1992 to 1995. Finally, Dr. Chen attended Virginia Tech from 1996 to 1999, earning a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics.
