Melody Chang

VP, Pharmacy Operations at American Oncology Network

Melody oversees AON’s pharmacy operations, establishes guidelines and standard operating procedures, develops drug utilization and formulary initiatives ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimized therapeutic outcomes. She gives guidance on IV room design and keeps abreast of industry standards to ensure the pharmacy is in compliance with USP 797/USP 800 and state/federal regulatory requirements.

Melody has over 20 years of clinical and management experience in pharmacy. Prior to her role as Vice President of Pharmacy Operations, she was the Director of Pharmacy Operations for Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) for seven years. She established the pharmacy operational program, drafted the pharmacy training manual, and instituted the regional trainer program that enabled a standard practice throughout nearly 100 FCS locations. Prior to FCS, Melody worked as a lead pediatric oncology pharmacist at Lee Health in Florida, and as an oncology pharmacist at MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando (now UF Health Cancer Center).

Melody received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from China Medical University in Taiwan and earned her MBA degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. She is a Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacist and has served as a Pharmacist Liaison to the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) Board of Directors since 2017. She also sits on the Association of Community Cancer Center (ACCC) Oncology Pharmacy Education Network Advisory Committee.
