Adrianne Drollette is an experienced leader in association management and political affairs, currently serving as the Director of Alliances & Planning at the American Optometric Association since August 2021. Previously, Adrianne held the position of Executive Director at the North Carolina Optometric Society from March 2013 to August 2021, and worked as a Senior Political Action Specialist at the American Nurses Association from August 2010 to February 2013. Earlier roles include Grassroots Coordinator/State Legislative Analyst at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and Assistant Director of Political Affairs at the American Optometric Association. Adrianne holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Rochester and has furthered education at The George Washington University.

The American Optometric Association represents approximately 39,000 doctors of optometry, optometry students and paraoptometric assistants and technicians. Optometrists serve patients in nearly 6,500 communities across the country, and in 3,500 of those communities are the only eye doctors. Doctors of optometry provide two-thirds of all primary eyecare in the United States.Founded in 1898, the AOA is a federation of state, student and armed forces optometric associations. Through these affiliations, the AOA serves members consisting of optometrists, students of optometry, paraoptometric assistants and technicians.Together, the AOA and its affiliates work to provide the public with quality vision and eye care.
