Ruth Hazdovac

Ruth Hazdovac is an experienced professional in federal government relations and political advocacy, currently serving as the Director of Federal Government Relations at the American Optometric Association since July 2021. Prior to this role, Ruth held the position of Associate Director, Congressional Relations at the same organization. Ruth's experience includes serving as Senior Manager for Congressional and Political Advocacy at the American Academy of Otolaryngology from August 2019 to July 2021, and prior roles at Interel as Associate Director of Government and Public Affairs, and in the U.S. House of Representatives as Legislative Assistant and Staff Assistant for Congressman Devin Nunes. Ruth began their career with an internship in the Office of the House Majority Leader, Kevin McCarthy. Ruth holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with an emphasis in American Politics from UC Santa Barbara.
