American Organization for Nursing Leadership
Rachel E. Start RN, MSN, NEA-BC, FAAN is a highly accomplished nursing leader currently serving as the Interim Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Rush University System for Health since April 2024. With extensive involvement in various professional organizations, Rachel holds prominent roles including Board Member and President of the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN). Rachel also contributes as a faculty member for the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and has served in multiple capacities at Rush University Medical Center and Rush Oak Park Hospital. As a founder and chair of the Illinois Ambulatory Nurse Practice Consortium, Rachel has significantly impacted the ambulatory nursing field. Academically, Rachel is pursuing a PhD in Nursing at Loyola University Chicago, building on a strong educational foundation that includes a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rush University.
