David Garza

Trustee at American Osteopathic Association

David E. Garza, DO, is AOA board-certified in family medicine and OMT and serves as the Director of Family Medicine and Rural/Underserved Clerkships and Director of Osteopathic Recognition for residency programs at University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, he serves as medical director for University of the Incarnate Word Health Services.

Dr. Garza previously served as founding program director for UIWSOM’s family medicine residency in Laredo, Texas, and treated patients in a solo medical practice for 25 years. He earned a DO degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. He is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and a past president of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association. He also served for seven years on the Texas Medical Board.
