The Policy and Government Relations team at the American Petroleum Institute (API) is responsible for advocating industry interests and influencing public policy on behalf of API's members. The team works on developing and promoting policies that support the oil and natural gas industry, engaging with government officials at the state and federal levels, and mobilizing external support to advance the industry's regulatory and legislative objectives.
