Edwin Vargas

Edwin Vargas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in photography and education. Currently serving as Chair of the APA San Francisco and Co-Founder of the APA Diversity Committee at American Photographic Artists Inc. since May 2020, Edwin advocates for underrepresented groups in the industry. In addition, Edwin has been the Director of Academic Lab Resources, Phase One + Capture One Instructor, and Technical Director at the Academy of Art University since January 2018. As Creative Director at EV Productions since June 2007, Edwin has contributed to various film and photography projects. Previous roles include Freelance Photographer at Vanguard Properties, Head Photographer at The Agency RE, Director of Photography at Scary Cow Productions, and Head Photographer at Wilhelmina. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Universidad del Arte Ganexa and completed studies in Digital Film Production at SAE Institute North America.
