Brad Marston

President-elect at American Physical Society

Brad Marston serves as the President-Elect and Vice President of the American Physical Society since January 2024. Marston has been the Director and Associate Director of the Brown Theoretical Physics Center since July 2019 and is a Professor of Physics at Brown University since July 1991, focusing on theoretical and computational physics. Previous appointments include a General Member at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, visiting roles at École Normale Supérieure and Caltech, and an IBM Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton University and a B.S. in Physics from Caltech. Initial experience involved a summer internship at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, working with analog and digital electronics.
