Stephen Nagler

Stephen Nagler is a highly accomplished condensed matter and materials physicist with extensive experience in research and academia. Currently serving as a Corporate Research Fellow (Emeritus) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since August 1995, Stephen's research interests include quantum materials, magnetism, superconductivity, and various energy-related materials, with expertise in x-ray and neutron scattering techniques. Since 2011, Stephen has held the position of Research Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Tennessee and was a faculty member at the Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education. Stephen has also contributed as the Lead Editor for Physical Review B at the American Physical Society since February 2023. Previous positions include professorships at the University of Florida and visiting roles at various prestigious institutions such as Brookhaven National Laboratory and the University of Oxford. Stephen earned a Ph.D. and B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Toronto.
