Marzieh Ghiasi's work experience includes various roles and positions in different organizations. Starting in 2009, they served as the Editor-in-Chief for the McGill Science Undergraduate Research Journal. In 2012, they became the President of the McGill Toastmasters Club, where they coordinated a public speaking club with 70 regular members and achieved Competent Speaker and Leader certificates.
From 2014 to 2016, Marzieh worked as a Research Assistant at McGill University, specifically in the Global Health Programs and at the Research Institute of the MUHC. During this time, they also served as the Division Director for Toastmasters International and as a Research Assistant at the Centre universitaire de santé McGill (CUSM) and the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).
In 2015, Marzieh became the Managing Editor for the McGill Journal of Medicine. Marzieh later joined Michigan State University in 2016 as an MD-PhD Candidate and Graduate Research Assistant. Currently, they hold the positions of Policy Vice Chair for Resolutions and Policy Development, Policy Chair, and Vice President (National) at the American Physician Scientists Association starting from 2021.
Marzieh Ghiasi is currently pursuing an MD-PhD degree in Epidemiology at Michigan State University from 2016 to 2024. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Epidemiology from McGill University. Marzieh also completed their undergraduate studies at McGill University, earning a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Cell Biology and Anatomy and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Environment.
