Chief Coating Inspector at AMERICAN PIPING INSPECTION, INC

Tyler Grabin has a diverse work experience in the field of coating inspection. Tyler started their career in 2014 as a Construction Management and Bridge Coating Inspector at EST, Inc. From there, they worked as a Coating Inspector at Self-Employed, where they were involved in the Heavy Duty Painting project at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. Tyler also served as a Bridge Coating Inspector at KTA-Tator, Inc., where they were responsible for abrasive blasting procedures and operations. In 2016, Tyler joined HRV Conformance Verification Associates, Inc. as a QA Inspector before moving to Tetra Tech as a Project Inspector/Coating Inspector. In 2018, they had the opportunity to work as a NACE Bridge Coating Inspector at Aegion Corporation on the Atchafalaya Basin, the 3rd longest bridge in the United States. Tyler later worked as a QC Inspector at ALLSTAR Royal Bridge and a NACE Coatings Inspector at Pond & Company. Most recently, they served as the Chief Coating Inspector at American Piping Inspection, Advanced NDT and Consulting. Tyler's work experience demonstrates their expertise in bridge coating inspection and quality assurance.

Tyler Grabin has a diverse education history. Tyler obtained a Level 2 certification from NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) and became a NACE Coating Inspector from 2010 to 2016. In 2015, they received training in lead safety and abatement through the SSPC (Society for Protective Coatings) C-3 program. Additionally, Tyler has a certification in bridge inspection (BCI) from SSPC.

In 2016, they completed the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) 30 Hour General Construction course and obtained a certification in hazardous waste manifest from the Department of Transportation (DOT). Tyler also acquired expertise in highway material sampling and testing through the Odot (Ohio Department of Transportation) Highway Material Sampler and Tester program.

Looking ahead, Tyler plans to pursue a Mag Particle Level ll certification in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) in 2023.
