Mark Baker

Mark Baker is a management consultant with a background in strategy, execution, process design, and technology. In his 35-year career, he has designed and led over 25 large-scale change projects in roles as both a business leader and a consultant. He thrives on helping leaders shape and execute their strategies in a rapidly changing environment with a focus on the business model, people, innovation, and technology enablers.

First introduced to theatre and APT through 4-H, he has attended APT performances for over 40 years and always loved the magic of the woods. Mark has contributed his professional guidance at different points over the past 10 years and is pleased to join the board.

Mark earned his BBA in Accounting from UW-Whitewater and MBA from Northwestern University. Beyond theater, Mark enjoys cooking, cycling, hiking, and photography, and is renewing his interest in golf.

American Players Theatre is a professional theater located just outside Spring Green, Wisconsin. Situated on 110 acres of hilly woods and meadows, APT has two theaters, the newly renovated 1089-seat outdoor amphitheater and the 201-seat indoor Touchstone Theatre. From June through November, APT produces nine plays in rotating repertory. With annual attendance of over 100,000 and an annual budget in excess of $6 million, APT ranks as the country’s second largest outdoor theater devoted to the classics.
