Ben Goodrich has a diverse work experience spanning several sectors. Ben began their career in 2010 as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor for the City of Eden Prairie. In 2016, they interned at the United States Senate before joining the Madison Children's Museum as a Programs Intern in 2017. Ben then worked at the Wisconsin Union as an Event Manager and Production Staff from 2016 to 2018. Ben also served as a Marketing Associate at the Madison Children's Museum in 2018. In the same year, they worked as a U.S. Policy and Government Affairs Assistant at GlobalCitizen. In 2019, they joined YPFP as a Communications Officer before being promoted to Director of Communications in 2020. From 2019 to 2023, they were employed at the Consortium of Social Science Associations (COSSA) where they held various roles, including Staff Assistant and Policy & Public Affairs Associate. Their most recent position is as the Associate Director of Government Relations & Public Engagement at the American Political Science Association, starting in 2023. Throughout their career, Ben has demonstrated skills in research, policy analysis, communication, event management, and public relations.

Ben Goodrich completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2014 to 2018. Prior to their university education, they attended Eden Prairie Senior High School between 2010 and 2014. In addition to their formal educational background, they have obtained certifications in Advanced Google Analytics and Google Analytics for Beginners from Google in May 2019.
