Aimee B.

Aimee (Vera) B. is an experienced academic counselor at American Preparatory Academy since March 2019, where Aimee provides guidance in academics, college, and career planning for high school students while overseeing testing and advanced programs. Previous roles include serving as an adjunct instructor at Utah Valley University, teaching career exploration courses, and coordinating a nonprofit career development program for low-income women at People Helping People of Utah. Aimee also has experience as a vocational rehabilitation technician at the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation and as a certified case manager at Valley Behavioral Health. Aimee conducted qualitative research for a master's thesis on the rehabilitation of formerly trafficked women in India and held positions in mental health and study abroad advising. Aimee holds a Master of Arts in International Community Leadership from Westminster University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
