MarySusan Abell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. MarySusan currently holds the position of Director, Communications and Consumer Engagement at the American Printing House for the Blind. In their previous role as a Manager at Centric Consulting, they gained experience in management. Prior to that, MarySusan worked as a Senior Communications Specialist at GE Appliances, where they successfully implemented various internal and external communication strategies. MarySusan also served as the Manager of Communications & Marketing at the Louisville Water Company, where they were responsible for managing external and internal communications. Before that, they worked as the Director of PR/Communications and Senior Project Manager at Family Allergy & Asthma, where they played a crucial role in establishing an in-house marketing-communications department and contributed to the significant growth of the practice. MarySusan also worked as the Director of Marketing Communications at AllergyZone, where they assisted with the successful launch of a new product line. Additionally, they gained experience as an Account Executive at pmeCommunications and as a Manager of Communications & Events at Papa John's International.
MarySusan Abell earned a BA in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Western Kentucky University, which they attended from 1988 to 1991. In 2000, they completed a program called Mouseters at the Disney Institute, focusing on Customer Service. In 2017, they obtained a certificate as an Executive Bourbon Steward from Moonshine University. MarySusan'smost recent educational endeavor was in 2019 when they participated in the Focus Louisville program at the Leadership Louisville Center.
