Debbie Gibson has extensive work experience in the field of mental health and data analysis. Debbie began their career in 2004 as a Senior Health Analyst and Epidemiologist at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), where they worked until 2007. After that, they joined the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as a Strategic Project Lead, Senior Health Analyst, and Epidemiologist, holding this role for almost 10 years. In 2016, they transitioned to the American Psychiatric Association, where they initially worked as a Manager of the Clinical Data Registry before being promoted to Deputy Director of the Mental Health Registry. Currently, they serve as the Managing Director of the Mental Health Registry (PsychPRO) in the same organization.
Debbie Gibson holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Epidemiology from the University of Toronto. Debbie also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology/Geography Double Major from York University.
