Rachel Johnston

Rachel Johnston, MPA, currently serves as the Regional Director of State Government Relations at the American Psychiatric Association and as a Commissioner on the Arlington County Commission on the Status of Women. Prior experience includes roles as the Tobacco Control & Prevention Campaign Manager at Rescue | The Behavior Change Agency, Board Member at SCAN of Northern Virginia, and HelpLine Specialist at NAMI. Rachel held consulting positions with Knowesis Inc. and The Lewin Group, focusing on women's health initiatives and integrated care for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, respectively. Additional roles include Principal at Strategic Management Services and Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, concentrating on health policy legislation and program effectiveness analysis. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Boston University and a Master of Public Administration in Health Policy and Management from New York University.
