Regina James serves as an Advisory Council Member for the Academic Advancement Program at UCLA and as a member of the Board of Trustees at The George Washington University. Currently the Deputy Medical Director and Chief of the Division of Diversity & Health Equity at the American Psychiatric Association, Regina has extensive experience in clinical research, having previously held senior roles including Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer and VP for Clinical Research at a research organization. Prior leadership positions include Director of Clinical & Health Services Research at the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, and Director of the Office of Health Equity at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. With a strong academic background, Regina earned a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from UCLA and is currently pursuing further education at Georgetown University.
