Michelle DeCoux Hampton RN, PhD, serves as the Associate Dean of Operations and Partnerships at Samuel Merritt University since February 2024. In addition to this role, Michelle holds the position of Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and serves as a Holistic Admissions Review Consultant for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Michelle has been a lecturer and professor at San Jose State University since August 2018, with prior roles at Stanford University School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor and at Stanford Health Care as the Director of Academic Nursing and Patient Care Research. Michelle's educational background includes a PhD from the University of California, San Francisco, and advanced degrees in nursing and psychology from the same institution and the University of Southern California, respectively.
