Michael D. Braner

Michael D. Braner is Managing Partner and Chief Compliance Officer at 325 Capital LLC, a long-term, significant, minority owner of small public companies. He has served as a founding Managing Member at the company since 2019.

Previously, Mr. Braner served as a Partner at Sagard Capital Partners LP for 11 years. Prior to that, he was a Partner in JB Investment Partners, an investment company he founded in 2003. Earlier in his career, Mr. Braner worked at Bain & Company Inc. for 10 years, where he consulted large corporations and private equity investors in Bain’s Chicago, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Dallas, Boston, and Los Angeles offices.

Mr. Braner currently serves as a Board Trustee and Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the New York Landmarks Conservancy, which is dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and protecting the iconic buildings and unique neighborhoods of New York City. He has also served as a Board Trustee since 2014 at Arbor Rising, a non-profit dedicated to funding promising social entrepreneurs to secure a path out of poverty.

Mr. Braner holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, and completed a program in Management Development at Harvard Business School.
