Tammy Hawkins

Tammy Hawkins has extensive experience in executive administrative support, currently serving as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer and the SVP & Controller at American Public Education, Inc. since January 2019. In this role, Tammy provides high-level support and coordinates intricate travel arrangements. Prior experience includes a similar position at American Public University System from October 2011 to December 2018, along with serving as an Administrative Assistant in Finance and Assistant to the Head of School at The Country Day School from August 1993 to October 2011. Tammy holds a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from American Public University System, an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Blue Ridge Community and Technical College, and has received training from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services between 2007 and 2011.
