Amy Thomas

Amy Thomas has a diverse work experience in government relations and legislative roles. Amy has been working at the American Public Power Association since 2011, starting as a Grassroots & PAC Manager and eventually becoming the Government Relations Director. In 2018, they were promoted to Senior Government Relations Director and then became the Vice President of Government Relations in 2023. Prior to their time at the American Public Power Association, Amy worked as a Legislative Assistant at Kountoupes Consulting from 2009 to 2011. Amy also served as a Staff Assistant/Legislative Correspondent for Congressman Tim Mahoney from 2008 to 2009.

Amy Thomas has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Florida. Additionally, they hold a Masters of Public Management degree from Johns Hopkins University.
