Carolyn Slaughter

Carolyn Slaughter serves as the Director of Environmental Policy at the American Public Power Association since April 2015, providing regulatory and compliance assistance on federal environmental policies. Prior to this, Carolyn worked as the Director of Strategic Planning at Marsulex Environmental Technologies from November 2011 to July 2014, where responsibilities included formulating marketing strategies and analyzing regulatory impacts on profitability. From November 2004 to November 2011, Carolyn was the Senior Program Development Manager at the Institute of Clean Air Companies, focusing on air pollution control policy and advocacy. Earlier in their career, Carolyn managed a government contract for the EPA Energy Star® program at Optimus Corp. from February 1989 to October 2004, overseeing significant budgetary and informational initiatives related to climate protection.
