Ward McCarragher

Vice President, Government Affairs And Advocacy at American Public Transportation Association

Ward McCarragher has held several important roles in the transportation and infrastructure sector. Ward served as the Vice President of Government Affairs and Advocacy at the American Public Transportation Association since April 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Counsel at the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, U.S. House of Representatives for a significant period from October 1998 to April 2018. Before that, they served as Counsel at the Subcommittee on Surface Transportation, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure from January 1995 to October 1998, and as Counsel at the Subcommittee on Economic Development and Public Buildings, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure from September 1993 to January 1998.

Ward McCarragher began their education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981. Ward studied Political Science and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. Later in 1989, they attended the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, where they pursued Master's coursework in French and International Economics. In the same year, they also enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where they earned their Doctor of Law degree (JD) in 1992.
