Barbara Netzer has extensive work experience in the education and healthcare sectors. Barbara started their career as a Registered Nurse in 1980 and worked until 2022. Barbara then joined The Community College of Baltimore County as the Nursing Director, where they supervised faculty and staff, ensured program accreditation, and provided academic counseling to students. In 2012, Barbara joined the American Public University System as an Assistant Dean, where they contributed to student learning outcomes and program quality. Barbara later served as the Vice President & Dean of Academic Partnerships & Health Outreach, taking a leadership role in building academic partnerships and developing healthcare curriculum. Barbara's most recent work experience is as an Educational Consultant at Acadeun, starting in 2023.
Barbara Netzer holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Nursing Administration from Capella University, which they completed in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Nursing Science from the University of Phoenix in 2013. Barbara also holds a Master of Science degree in Education from The Johns Hopkins University, which they earned between 1984 and 1986. Their earliest educational achievement is a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, completed between 1978 and 1980. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in the Strategic Initiative 2021: Higher Learning Commission Reaccreditation from the American Public University System in 2022.
