Charlotte Davis is an accomplished designer with extensive experience in the fashion industry, having held key positions at various notable companies. At American Rag Cie, Charlotte has been instrumental in developing a new division for the Junior Plus Customer while collaborating closely with Macy's buying team since December 2009. Previous roles include Design Director for Chick By Nicky Hilton, where Charlotte oversaw a junior sportswear collection, and Design Consultant for Carol Hochman, focusing on women's sleepwear and intimate apparel. Additional experience includes serving as Design Director at Silver Wear and F.O.B – Fashion Overseas Bureau, managing substantial division volumes, and leading innovative design projects. Charlotte began the career journey as a designer at Gitano and has worked across several other companies, including Necessary Objects, Bibbo Kraner, and Pat Fashions, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from FIDM.

Mr. Werts and his buying team have traveled the world in pursuit of unique and exclusive merchandise to fill the American Rag stores. American Rag Compagnie first opened its doors in San Francisco in 1984, followed in 1985 by the opening of the Los Angeles store. In 2006 American Rag Compagnie opened its third store in Newport Beach and the World Denim Bar adjacent to the original Los Angeles store. For twenty-three years American Rag Compagnie has been the favored shopping destination of musicians, actors, designers, and anyone who loves style.
