Rick Sijs

Rick Sijs is an experienced professional currently serving as the Value Stream Lead Production at RENOLIT since October 2022, overseeing 50 employees in a production environment focused on medical films and implementing daily improvements through LEAN principles and Value Stream Mapping. Prior to this, Rick Sijs held various positions including PhD student and procestechnoloog at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, conducting research on pesticide spraying processes to mitigate environmental pollution. Rick Sijs also worked as a scientist and technical advisor at GreenA BV, contributing to product development for the agricultural sector. Educationally, Rick Sijs holds a PhD in liquid dynamics and a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Amsterdam, along with a teaching qualification in education. Additional experience includes roles in tutoring, teaching physics, and working in various capacities during earlier employment in horticulture and hospitality.
