Adam Schellhammer, MNR, serves as the Mid Atlantic Region Director at American Rivers since September 2023 and holds the position of Associate Board Director at Headwaters Soil and Water Conservation District since April 2022. Previously, Adam was the Transition Director at Valley Conservation Council from February 2022 to September 2023 and managed Wai Ora Partnerships at Auckland Council from December 2019 to March 2022. Additional experience includes working as District Manager at Monroe County Conservation District and Natural Resource Manager at Friends of Princeton Open Space. Adam's educational background features a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Millersville University, a Master of Natural Resources Management from Virginia Tech, and a Graduate Certificate in Global Sustainability. Currently pursuing an MBA in Organizational Leadership at Penn State University, Adam is expected to complete the program in December 2027.
