Corey Christy has worked in various roles related to development operations and fundraising throughout their career. They began their work experience as Advancement Services Director at The Key School in 2000, where they handled advancement services. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Development Services Manager at the American Red Cross Southeastern Virginia. They then moved on to the Smithsonian Institution, where they served as a Planned Giving Associate from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they joined AARP Foundation as the Revenue Administration & Acknowledgement Manager. They held this role until 2015. After that, they worked at American Rivers, first as Manager of Development Operations from 2015 to 2017, then as Director of Development Operations from 2018 until their most recent position as Senior Director of Planned Giving and Development Operations, which they began in July 2019.
Corey Christy attended St. John's College from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Their studies focused on Philosophy, History of Science, and Mathematics.
