Alan Nakamura

Alan Nakamura, CRCM, CAMS, CERP, has an extensive work experience in the banking industry. Alan started their career at First Hawaiian Bank in 2013, where they served as a Quality Control Specialist for four years. In 2017, they joined Central Pacific Bank, initially as a Corporate Compliance Officer and later as the Deputy CRA Officer. Alan'sresponsibilities at the bank included ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing Community Reinvestment Act programs. In 2023, Alan joined American Savings Bank as the Lead Internal Auditor, where they are currently responsible for conducting internal audits to assess the bank's operational and financial processes.

Alan Nakamura, CRCM, CAMS, CERP has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from UCLA, which they obtained from 2007 to 2011. Prior to their university education, they received a High School Diploma in Instrumental Music from the Orange County School of the Arts in 2007. Additionally, Alan has acquired several certifications throughout their career. Alan obtained the Certified Enterprise Risk Professional certification from the American Bankers Association in June 2021. In May 2018, they received the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification from the same institution. Furthermore, Alan obtained the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification from ACAMS in November 2016.
