Dorie MacCormack is an experienced educator with a strong background in International Baccalaureate (IB) programs and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Currently serving as an IB Teacher at the American School of Doha since August 2017, Dorie MacCormack teaches IB Psychology, Theory of Knowledge, and high school social studies. Dorie also has been an IB Teacher at Shekou International School since August 2011, focusing on IB Psychology, Theory of Knowledge, and History courses. Prior experience includes teaching AP History at Harriet Tubman Leadership Academy for Young Women, where Dorie designed an AP US History course that gained approval from The College Board. Earlier, Dorie developed and taught a specialized curriculum for gifted students at ACCESS Academy. Dorie holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Communications from the University at Buffalo.
