Andrew W. LaVigne has extensive experience in leadership roles within trade associations and agriculture-related organizations. Currently serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Seed Trade Association since February 2006, LaVigne directs the activities of a national and international trade association with 700 member companies and manages a budget exceeding $6.5 million. Prior to this role, LaVigne was the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of Florida Citrus Mutual, overseeing a large membership of 10,500 citrus growers. Additional experience includes serving as President and Executive Director of the Florida Fertilizer and Agrichemical Association, Legislative Director for Congressman Charles T. Canady, and Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff in the U.S. Department of Agriculture. LaVigne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
