Michael Carey

Michael Carey is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence and patent law. Currently serving as a Board Member at the American Society for AI and as a Member of F. Chau & Associates, Michael focuses on high-quality patent preparation and efficiency improvements in this area. As the Founder of FENIX.AI, innovative document automation solutions for patent drafting are developed. Previous roles include Patent Attorney at Holland & Hart LLP, where Michael specialized in wireless communications, and military service as a Judge Advocate in the US Air Force Reserve. Additional experience encompasses teaching mathematics at middle and high school levels and serving as Chief of Command Post for the Rhode Island Air National Guard. Michael holds a JD from Harvard Law School, an MS in Physics from North Carolina State University, and a BS in Mathematics from Brigham Young University.
